Who is NENTAL?

Nental is a collage artist, half Caribbean, half Lower Norman. He lives and works near Tours, France.
He blends poetry, humor, and rebellion — his works are “contemporary vanitas” that question what it means to possess or consume excessively.

His artistic approach

He collects used advertising posters — these images of urban life — which he tears up, layers and recombines in a kind of visual alchemy.
He works primarily with plexiglass , which allows his works to become both mirror and screen: the viewer sees their reflection, and the background (the wall, the room) contributes to the composition. His collages are not merely aesthetic: they convey a critical message: excessive consumption, vanity, and the circulation of images in our modern societies.

Custom-made works

He offers "netalized" portraits on commission: animals (here a portrait of SOLO), family portraits, individual portraits, made using mixed media techniques (paper, posters, plexiglass...).
