Some collections are born from an intuition. SPIRITO was born from a certainty: that the smallest creatures—and the most imposing—carry the greatest truths.
L’The SPIRITO universe
SPIRITO is a collection of unique mixed-media and collage artworks, measuring 15 × 15 cm and signed by Nental. Each piece features a character or creature—a beetle, dragonfly, wasp, woodlouse, caterpillar, stag beetle, or sumo wrestler—in dialogue with a playing card or a number. It’s no coincidence. It’s a language.
L’The insect is what we ignore, what we crush, what we flee. The sumo wrestler is what we fear, what we admire, what we dare not face. In SPIRITO, each one gets to decide. Who inherits. Who perseveres. Who knows.
The paradox of the sumo wrestler and the insect
In SPIRITO, the sumo wrestler and the insect share the same stage. L’one meditates, the other responds. L’one falls, the other stays. This dialogue between brute strength and invisible lightness lies at the heart of the collection’s philosophy: power has no size. Neither does resilience.
The card as destiny
In a traditional deck of cards, each card has a value, a suit, and a meaning. In SPIRITO, the card becomes the context: it sets the symbolic scene in which the character plays its part. The 8 of hearts represents fulfilled love. The 10 of diamonds opens the door to fortune. L’ace of clubs heralds victory. And the sumo wrestler, the ladybug, or the butterfly inhabit these promises in their own way—silent, relentless, free.
The technique: mixed media and collage on plexiglass
Every SPIRITO artwork is handmade using mixed media: collage, textures, layered materials, and graphic elements. The result is mounted on a rigid plexiglass-style backing, ready to hang. No frame needed. No complicated installation. Just the artwork on your wall, starting to speak.
Every piece is unique. Once sold, it won’t be reproduced. What you choose will exist only once, in one home, on one wall.
Choose your character
In SPIRITO, you don’t choose a decoration. You choose a message. Which one resonates with you today? The sumo wrestler meditating before the match? The ladybug that stays when everything falls apart? The caterpillar that already knows what it will become?
